About
The story behind Matt's Web Co.
Why it exists, how I actually work, and where I want to take it.

Why I started this
I didn't set out to run a web design company. I kept watching local business owners get stuck between two bad options: hire an agency big enough to treat you like a ticket number, or try to DIY a site that never quite looks right and never gets touched again after launch.
Neither felt right for the people actually running the businesses I was seeing every day — the pressure washer, the lash artist, the junk removal guy who's also a firefighter. They deserved something built around them, not squeezed out of a template or handed off to whoever's free at an agency.
How I actually work
So I started building sites and running marketing myself — one client at a time, one relationship at a time. No account managers, no subcontractors, no offshore team relaying your notes back to me, no template dressed up as custom work. When you call, you get me, start to finish.
I keep my client list local on purpose. I want to walk into your shop, see your space, meet your team — because a brand built from a real relationship shows up differently online than one built from a form you filled out and never heard back on.
“I want to shake your hand and see your shop before I ever open a laptop.”
Where it's headed
The plan isn't to get bigger for its own sake. It's to keep taking on the number of clients I can actually give real attention to, and to keep building sites and running marketing I'd be proud to put my own name on.

Where I Work
I work with local businesses in Phenix City, Auburn, Opelika, Columbus, GA, and the surrounding areas — the kind of clients I can actually meet face to face.
